because they aren't hardcore mortal kombat fans. They just play the games for fun, they didn't grow up with the series... and they don't know the story and history behind it.
Oh, how wrong you are. I've been a fan of MK since 1992. It is not only my favorite fighting game, it is my favorite game/series. Mortal Kombat is my absolute favorite form of media, more so than any movie or TV show. I LOVE Mortal Kombat. I Do want to see Liu Kang killed off because he's nothing special, just the same 'ol "gobble gobble, invisible-bike riding, Kang". He won 4 Mortal Kombats in a row. It's time for him to rest in pieces...
That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it.

No it wouldn't. If they turned Liu Kang into a zombie then there's nothing wrong with Scorpion being human. He stopped using the flaming breath fatality after MK4 any way. MK8 is a new start so If Scorpion is human, it won;t make a difference. His revenge storyline is getting old so he deserves to get what he wants.
agree!!! Why cant scorpion turn human again but keep his spectre outfits and powers?! This is mortal kombat we are talking about!!! If a human chinese can make fire balls, scorpion as human can also make spears appear from his hand.

It doesn't actually come out of is hand. He has it hooked on his waist. He throws it out really fast making it look like it does. But yeah he can still have those powers. Being human won't hurt him at all

If Liu Died in DA and stayed dead, and just help the heroes triumph with encouragment like Obi-Wan Kenobi for Luke(yes a Star Wars example). That would have been the best thing to do but as midway say "...No one ever dies in Mortal Kombat..."

i think liu should return....but not as a hero,like someone said he would be some kind of protector of earthrealm.
and i think that liu should be the hero again in maybe mk10 or mk11(not mk8)

liu is my 2nd character if he needs to be replaced it hurts me to say it but cage,sonya,jax,sub,scorp,raiden,and everyone else.you guys are making it sound like everyone neds to be replaced.it also sounds like lius voice is the only thing you hate.i personally don't care about the voice heard while fighting.only the ones in the fmv's.also the mka intro is non canon.also you guys are forgeting the kobra syndrome new caracters usually suck
