More like a 1 to 10000 chance that there wont be any old characters in MK8 cept Sub, Scorp and maybe 1 or 2 others. And i doubt any of em will be any of those side characters.

Jerrod, also spelled as Jerod, is a minor character occasionally referenced in the character Sindel's backstory. And what does him being alive have anything to do with Armatige trying to copare him to Kochal?

There may be as many Tremor fans as there are Tremor haters, which would only make SENSE for them to put him in the game. You see, there are as many Liu Kang fans as there are Liu Kang haters, same thing goes for Johnny Cage, and the same goes for .... well, most of the characters, really. WTF?

All these minor characters everyone is naming don't seem should be in MK8. I mean the Midway Team are starting with brand new characters, not characters from Konquest modes, only like Tremor I could think of would be good but all the other characters like Monster, who is just another Scorpion, the other two chicks that helped Quan Chi in Mortal Kombat Sub Zero Mythology would not be that great either. Some things that would be a really good idea would be another Vampire like a guy, a new Price or Princess, a new Ninja, and maybe a real cyborg(not like a character like Jax, Cyrax, Sektor, or Smoke) as an a human that was supposed to be dead but had a bunch of metal for replacement. Those are my thoughts, but if someone don't like them, those are your thoughts.

I think everyone needs to realize Mortal Kombat has been scrutinized for some time now by a lot of people as being stale and child like and based on what I have seen and read I would probably say he is gonna really reinvent this game from the ground up with a whole new story line so as far as characters I believe they realize how big a part they have on the mythology of the game and with Ed Boon saying that the next game will have a much darker tone I just dont see alot of joke characters appearing in this game with that being said it is very possible that the new characters in the new mortal kombat wont even remotely tie into previous games at all and so this may be MK8 coming up but if my hunch is correct it we be more like The New Mortal Kombat I guess time will tell but I just hope they put a decent amount of thought into the character stories and make them make sense and add up cause there is just to many contradictions in previous MK games

Well first off i agree in thinking that the characters here really aren't anything i would want to see. What i Really want is a character that we have never seen before, i mean make a character that is brand new not some ripoff cyborg that's green or a golden ninja i want something brand new that would give me that "holy crap" type of feeling just by looking at him/her Scorpion/Sub-zero did it in MK1 so i'm sure they can do it again. Now for the highlighted part, considering there are going to be characters from the old game in this one, i have to believe that the old games will somehow tie in with this one

Common sense Sub-zero and Scorpion will exist in one shape or another. I do wanna see samurai like characters.
I posted my ideas for samurais somewhere. I also had an idea for another shirai ryu member, a brotherhood of shadow member and more red dragon members.
