No, he actually shouldn't. Shao Kahn isn't that kind of character that he would fit to a role of a secret character. I would prefer Chameleon before Shao Kahn.

The opening video has been confirmed as NOT CANON, so that did not happen. Ed boon said so! Shao Kahn Should return, but as a regular character.

Yes others have been in more than that but most of those are more intresting than he is, though i'm tired of Lui Kang, Sonya, Johnny Cage, ect too. But other such as Sub-Zero and Scorpion are great. Heack Subs my fav and Scorp is a close second.

Scorp and Sub have been tiring since the end MKA. So has Liu and Shao.
Armitage: I never considered the MKA opener as canon, hell, I consider the game as whole non-canon. It was just
a way to express my feeling for Shao Khan. He was good in the trilogy series(MK1-3), but he should be dead now. Clones and Meat factories can only take you so far.

Well it wouldn't be Mortal Kombat anymore if it wouldn't have any old characters. It is good of course that it will have some fresh characters but we need also the classic ones.
I wish that it will have lots of old maps along with some new ones because Midway haven't said anything about removing them to new ones.
