Bard is more or less a minstrel or a jester if you would. Most call them a jack of all trades since their wide skills. Bards are more entertainers than anything else, usually associated with writing songs/ballads about epic heroes or deeds. And I believe the 'Bard's Tale' game had nothing to do with the 'Elder Scrolls' series.
There is a connection. In Oblivion on PS3, several characters directly refer to "Bard's tales".

As a World of Warcraft player, I say....no. MK is a cool fighting game, and I like it for that. I like Warcraft for the kind of game it is. So my vote is no.

Fighting games are MK's strong point. Branching out has rarely been successfully historically.

No, as much as I would love to see the story and universe of Mortal Kombat expand in ways that MMORPG games can do, you may as well make some graphic novels and keep the games feeling like Mortal Kombat.

well sure i guess, so lomg as it doesn't affect the fighting game's story...and for people who don't want it just don't buy it?
however it should be nothing like runescape (as in don't suck as much)

Yes for RPG, no for MMORPG.
I don't really like those MMORPGs like WoW and else. They are far from exciting, they cost a lot and they're very time-consuming. Also there are already a handful of MMORPGs so it wouldn't be a good choice for Midway to make one.
Instead, Midway should make an RPG game like Diablo 2. It would be single player oriented but it would also have a small multiplayer just like Diablo 2 did. It wouldn't necessary have to be 3-dimensional. It would look like Diablo 2. But it should probably have a bigger world.
If you would make an MK RPG, it would be a success.

I hate MMOG's so i don't care if they make one cause i won't play it. Now if they made a console port of it that you could play by yourself Kinda like a MK meets GTA meets MUA that'd be cool.
