this has to be a joke. . if its not. . fahhhhhhhk! I cant believe this. . I pray that its a mini game of sorts within the new MK game. it has to be. . right? if its with DC and batman. . superman ect. you guys honestly think there will be fatality's in the game?
please hope this is a mini game. . fun 2d mini game.. thats it. . nothing more. . if this is the game. . may hell rise above and take ed boon with it. .this is the all time worst idea. . .

Worst mistake ever. I do not see how this can turn out good by any stretch of the imagination. They just collapsed and destroyed an entire well thought out universe for a stupid crossover. This was their chance to reimagine and redesign a game with classic roots, a game that many gamers used to use as a measuring stick for all fighting games. MK:A and Shaolin Monks were up to par, but nothing mind-blowing, they had a perfect chance to change that with this new iteration.
When they said that this new game was going to be built from the ground up, I was excited, when they said they were using the Unreal Engine, I got excited, now I don't think I will ever buy a MK game again. How can this be what Boon said when clearly almost every MK character in this game would have to be a returning one for the cross-over to work.
All this build-up, all the rumors, all the attention, and I could not be more disappointed.

What are you talking about? i've been a fan since MK1 i think i can call myself a true fan and i'd be heart-broken if some characters wouldnt return , personally scorpion and johnny cage lol.

What was Midway smoking when they thought long time fans of the series would go for this?
Dark, Gritty, MK??? B.S. !!!
Fatalities??? I doubt there will be any!!!
Blood??? Don't count on it!
All new characters??? B.S. they just added other franchise's characters.
MK:DA...1 fatality per character...
MK:D was good
MK:A...Kreate a fatality, broken KAK moves, tonnes of glitches, No Storyline.
I think MK is going downhill and soon it will be off a cliff.
This reminds me, Ed Boon said they would make up for the bios with MK8. How the H*LL do they call this making up for it? If this game flops, it probably will be Armageddon for the series. The unreal engine suits this game because the concept is unreal. If there are no fatalities, I will not buy this game.
Reinventing MK? Nah, they just copied other companies ideas. I guess they were going with the "flavor of the month" so to speak. So much for original ideas.
MK VS DC is a surprise, but not a pleasant one. For the last 3 MKs, I pre-paid several months ahead of time and picked up my copy on day one. I know every bit of information there is to know on MK, for example, Quan Chi's favorite food being raw clams and Goro having seven wives. I WAS thee most devoted fan and now I'm simply disillusioned.
I will take a look at the previews in the coming months, so I will not stop with MK just yet, however if this game is rated TEEN and is as toned down as I expect, not only will I say goodbye to MK, I will say goodbye to any other Midway product.
I considered myself the BIGGEST MK fan ever, now I don't really care anymore. This idea...this concept...it seems like it blew out their a$$.
Midway, Ed Boon, you are losing a lot of fans today. I'm starting to wish the april fools joke of Ed Boon quitting wasn't a joke at all. Ever since John Tobias left, it seems that MK has lost it's touch.
I want to finish my post with a quote from Dan Forden from the "History of Fatalities" video on MKA premium's second disc:
"Fatalities have become so much a part of the series, that you cannot conceivable put out a mortal kombat game without them".
Don't make Dan Forden a liar. Don't let your fans down like you did with the horribly broken MK:A and it's lack of story.
If anyone hates this concept and leaves Midway, or just the MK series, I support you, however, I'm sticking around for now to see how this turns over the next little while. If I am still disgusted later, as I am now, I will join you in shunning this MK: Dumb Crossover.

Wow This is just soooo very upsetting....but something tells me this may be fake...or we tend to think DC as the comic book..maybe that is what they did to tease with us...mabye IMO its probably like this
1. Mortal Kombat vs DC (Dragons claw) something which is something completely different from DC the comic book...
2. Mortal Kombat vs DC Zombies...that would be neat in some sort of way...
In my conclusion if the game is MK vs The actual DC comic book...you have lost not just a customer but a big fan...a fan which owns a MK I Arcade, all the games that ever came out of MK....even though I didn't like the games after 3...but this takes the straw......Ed boon what are you thinking?!?

Okay, Iv'e become suddenly suspicious of all these newcomers who just joined today and have all become super disgusted and saying "you've lost another fan Midway!" What is this board now a circus? Why just join a board, express disgust and then leave forever? It's pointless, do me a favor and don't even join if that's the case. These people with 10-25 posts who are very (VERY) recent who don't even have an icon just start acting up today. Good riddance, jeez, it's like anti-Midway propaganda lol (although can't say MK vs. DC is worthy of 'good propaganda', but really, let's see where it carries us, we can storm the Bastille later).
