I'm not sure about the pattern clue, but the only one that sticks out is Shang Tsung, in my opinion.
I'm damn sure about the "Droplets" clue being Rain.
Or maybe all three are a clue: Patterns of Numeric coding could indicate nanotechnology, along with the fact that the mass of condensed droplets doesn't have to be rain, it could be acid rain, from a sulfur cloud, which are produced by smoke stacks, so....

What if the first numbers 06.18.05.05 indicates that when the countdown go to this time, maybe they will reveal something info?
And teh second if we substitute the numbers with letters, it appears
11= K
12= L
15= 0
19= S
5= E

From FREE and KLOSE thing I can only imagine something what Ed Boon once said:
"The game will be open-ended, like you won't have to keep a certain fighting style or a specific weapon." In terms of gameplay there will be total FREEdom.
But,
The game will certainly be KLOSE-ended: Very limited fighters and small, just good-enough-to-be-precise story. A fresh and introductory sequel, total newness and in itself something basic and limited.
That said, the concept of a game that is both FREE and KLOSEd is pretty much understandable from the site...
