Why Midway dont making PC Mortal Kombat games anymore? Last PC game was Mortal Kombat 4. Now i'm playing Mortal Kombat Trilogy, because i dont have PS, XBOX, Wii, and other consoles. I really dont get why Midway stoped building games for PC?

The word on the street is, MK8 might be released on the PC as well as the consoles 
And the reason why the last three MK's weren't released for the PC is...hell if I know. Maybe because of the slow down that some PC's suffer from. Sometimes it don't make a difference if you have the most advanced PC to date, somewhere along the lines it will meet a game that will require a little more power, and then suffer from slowness.
At least with the console you know that the chance of it running smoothely is very high, it is rare the a console game crashes, although it is known to do that sometimes, coming from a person who has witnessed this with GTA3 for the XBOX and PS2, I did so much in the game, went to save it, and it bloody crashed, I was well pi$$ed.
Even if the last three MK's did come out for PC, I wouldn't have bought them for that. And same with MK8, it'll be great if it does, I'm sure it would inlcude cool downloads and stuff, but I would rather take my chances and get if for my XBOX 360.
Fighter games are best played on Consoles, the Dual Shock Controller was just made for Fighters.
However
First Person Shooters are best played on PC's. Cannot better the old keyboard and mouse, precise aiming is essential in most of today's shooters. See how it all evens out?

I bought MKT for PC, MK4 for PC... I was pretty pissed that the graphics were just as shitty as those for the consoles.
I remember back in the day the Midway website said MKMSZ was coming for the PC, and I was even able to order it online from some website for the PC. But for some damn reason they cancelled it. I even remember there being a mouse on one of the screenshots for MKMSZ on Midway's site, and when I asked them about it they didn't hesitate to remove it (editing the pic) and deny everything.
But ANYWAY...
I've played games that came out for both consoles and the PC... and I prefer the PC versions. Mainly because the graphics are better. I can buy whatever the hell hardware I want to make it look so damn sweet.
It's not that hard to go a store and buy WHATEVER controller you want for your game without sticking with the gay standard PS3 or XBOX controllers. There is so much more freedom it seems.
It was fun as shit to skin and mod MK4 for PC... maybe that made Midway angry? or they can't find a company that makes a descent port to the PC for them? Because MKT just plain sucked.

guys open your eyes!
it's not suitable for midway making pc games.
look for they recent UE3 graphic games(like Stranglehold and area 51),these games are some way half assed and rushed for release.
IOnly UT3 was decent but was developed by Epic.
Now let's face the truth,stupid ppl thinks that fighting games on the pc sucks.
mk4 is the LAST fighting game on the pc,not only the last mk game.
i think that the PC fighting games are few(virtua fghter 2 and mk4 pretty much).
and yes they didn't like the mods maden on mk4 for PC.
midway haven't enough time to develop a game for three colsoles plus a pc port!
and the wii version will require more time to fit into his limited hardware.
so it's better if they focus on the xbox 360 and ps3 versions of the game.
if this games are good enough they can consider a Wii port with scaled down graphic engine and later,maybe in 2009 they can make a pc release with extras and more stuff.
and again ppl,Nintendo pays Midway very well:look at Nintendo.
they have only two good third parties franchises:Resident evil and MK.All other franchises are shit and Super Mario character is owned by Nintendo itself.
So i won't be surprised if resident evil 5 will get out on wii too and mk8 will have extras on wii.
i'm not surprised about mk decetion and armageddon get extras from the xbox and ps2 versions of the game.

Ok I totally agree and have two reasons for MK8 to be on PC.
1. The beginning of a next-gen era (remember MK4 was th first on Home Systems)
2. It's Unreal 3's Graphic engine god dammit! There is Unreal for the PC! So there must be MK8 too!
well let's cross our fingers.
Plus about the Dualshock comment, Midway should kno that there are thousands of Joysticks for the PC (XBOX 360).

If it's so hard to make a game for three different systems then how do other companies manage it?

Plus you should know that the XBOX 360 is made by Microsoft and Windows are made by Microsoft. IT'S THE SAME THING! And when they are making the game THEY MAKE IT ON PCS!.
I think the only reason Midway cut with PC Games after MK4 is because some assholes didn't buy the game but got it cheap from Pirates since it is so easy to copy on the PC.

I have not played any MK games on the PC, but I'd like for MK8 to come out for it. What if people only have a pc and don't want to buy a PS3 or XBOX360 just for that game? Pertainig to me mostly. I mean that I don't want to spend like $400+ an a console for just for one game. I also want to know where I can get any of the past MK games for PC?

Thank you, brother. Glad to know someone that understand the "PC only owner" Kombatants  It seems to me that playing Shaolin Monks on my PC come closer (....my dream, heh...heh..). Help us pray that MK 8 (and Shaolin Monk too) will be released for PC.
For the PC Classic MKs like the 1st MK, Mortal Kombat 2 (my favorite), MK 3, etc, they are hard to found in stores now, but you can google them in the internet and download them.
They are DOS-BASED GAMES, so they possibly will not run perfectly if you run in Windows. (Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native of this tongue:))

Get MAT: Deluxe. It has MK1, MK2, MK3 in excellent quality compared to other ports and bonus content from the making of.

I can't see anything more than the 2D MK games being enjoyable on the PC. The 3D games weren't that good to begin with.
