Yes, the only way to prevent it is of all the fans know of this danger. Then, they will all flood Midway with e-mails begging them not to do it. And all of this starts, with a quote from a failed t.v show

That's true, but I'll keep it here in my sig for awhile as a means of playing it safe. Also to get a good laugh. That quote doesn't always make people laugh though. One time on youtube, some woman ripped into me by saying: "Have you ever given birth? If you had, you wouldn't say that."  I never replied to her, but I recall thinking: "Damn, it's a joke. Lighten up already!"

Yeah keep the quote, we need permamnet proof of hating the concept so Midway doesn't pull a fast one on us And yeah, I hate it when people take a joke too literally. Who really would actually wanna give birth to a chair? Come on now, common sense plz.
Anyways, I must be off to bed. And I'll be looking forward to MK8 not having DC heroes in it.
