Yea a combination that should not be. I really hope its just a silly rumour thats been circulating on some gaming websites. If it is real though, Boon had better forget about MK for the next 15 years or he'll be bankrupt.
Something of that caliber would definitely kill the franchise.

I recall when Special Forces came out, and it was bad. So bad that I thought it was going to kill the franchise. Thankfully I was wrong and we've had three good fighting game sequels since then. But if they do this abysmal crossover idea, it will kill the franchise.

I told a few people offline about this crossover rumor, and the general response was usually along the lines of WTF?

You never know, Boon is so random it kills me. For example a well established franchise with 63 characters and a lot of minor/unmentioned characters and the chance to go further and he just wants to start fresh, like WTF is the guy thinkin'? You're throwing away everything important you've ever worked on. You wont see Bill Gates say screw Microsoft I'm going back to the typewriter, or Trump just selling his businesses for a dollar each. So if this rumor does come into existance as truth, then Boon sold out more than Metallica and eliminated the roots entirely of which he became famous and what MK is. MK will suck period if it is with DC, this I really hope is a rumor.

I know, It is just a really dumb idea on Boon's part. His financial advisors are probably telling him the same thing that TheMonster said about throwing it all away. Like if you were gonna retire different story but Boon still has many years to go in his career and MK will probably be the largest and maybe only good thing he accomplished. Too bad John Madden (football) wasn't here or he could give a really good explanation, because he does that all day long.

Neither does Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter.

Hell, MK vs. Super Heroes actually makes some sense. Some of those characters are pretty violent.
Spawn anyone? But no, I don't think super heroes should go up against MK, it just wouldn't seem right. Although, I think Spawn may be able to just barely fit into the franchise, as he is very dark and an anti-hero really (Scorpion's new best friend?  )
