Speaking of anti-petitions, I know there's one online now. Anyone know how many people so far have signed it?

Do you honestly think this game will be cancelled just because a few "fans" don't want it to hapen? More and more people are accepting the idea, myself included. Even if the story is ridiculous and there are no fatalities it might be a solid fighter. The graphics look great so far and the gameplay looks great as well from what I've seen. Not trying to burst anyone's bubble but I really think petitioning is a waste of time. It's gonna happen.

I don't think it'll do any good either, but sometimes people need to show where they stand. This game isn't going to work by the way I'll say that much.

Why not give it a chance? Sure the idea sounds a little
reluctant, but its just a game. Your all so obsessed with
mortal kombat, its like your just being prejudice to
everything else thats trying to compete with it.

Everything about it just seems wrong to me. No fatalities, a T rating, and being paired up with a good but highly incompatible franchise are among some of my biggest reasons why I'm not thrilled with this idea.

I still think its a very bad idea. it just ruined what mk was building all these years. a DC fighting game done by the people that made MK:SM would of been awesome to see. I love a lot of the DC world. the joker is my fav of course. but dont bring them into the MK world.. its completely different and a bad REALLY bad idea. its like mixing barney with porn and meeting half way to keep parents happy enough to buy it for there kids. a petition isnt going to help. . but what will help is if nobody buys the game. if it ends up having the worst sales ever for a game. . it will stop being made and it will be put under the rug and the idea of it wont ever happen again. I hope this is what happens and it drives ed boon crazy. . so crazy he really makes the F'N dark and gritty BRUTAL MK we all been waiting for. MK needs to be back on the news like it was when MK1 came out. shock and awe the world again, ill be waiting patiently.
on one last note.. its kind of a kick in the head to ed and midway doing this. some other company can step up to the plate now and bring a dark and gritty fighting game to the world and take over the #1 fighting game spot.

Barney with porn huh? Seriously though, I know exactly what you're saying. A lot of what you mentioned there I've said to a certain extent myself. I see the possibility of some fans speaking with their wallets on this one as you mentioned, much like what happened not too long ago when the PS3 was $600. Sony caved in after a severe loss of sales and had to give in to the demands of those they screwed over so people would come back to their products. The same thing could happen with MK as well.

I don't want him to fail either, but I'll refuse to buy something he made if I don't like it. That's how I feel about anyone I've ever bought a product from. As for keeping this thread alive, I'll say this. Somebody's gotta do it.
