I agree with Lach that lyrics in MK music themes wouldn't work too well. Somewhere along the lines of the Parking Garage music in Tekken 4, heavy guitar riffs with electronic percussions would be kool.
I think it would also be kool if some of the same music are featured again just like Shaolin Monks has a few of the same songs from MK2 and whatnot, namely the themes for Kuatan Palace/Nexus Arena and The Pit from Deception and Netherrealm from Shaolin Monks.

Just for nostalgic purposes Id like to see them put in The Pit from MK1. No 3D environment, No interactivity, No stage weapons. All we need is the stage fatality for it when you beat an opponenant.

I think what they should do is make the characters talk more trash during the fight... like in shaolin monks in all the boss fights, every boss is talking smack while youre fighting him, i loved it.
i agree, and id like to acid pool back aswell

Netherealm:it should be evil and hell like
Lin Kuei HQ(if its in the game)-a mysterious icy music
Goro's Lair-evil quick music
The Graveyard(hopefully its in the game)-the original music but changed a bit

Wow, Mysterious icy & quick evil. sure. 
Mysterious Icy: slow emotional/spacey. A music box sound would work nice to achieve high percussive notes.
Quick Evil: Well I know fast and your thinking more like a moderate tempo. 16th notes at 98 bpm. Anything from like a 'minor' scale movement to even the intro to slayer's 'at dawn they sleep'.

I'm still all for the slipknot thing we need something new sure the current mk music is great but it seems old that there are no lyrics ok have a character have there own song in there own stage that would be cool. I would like that very much. I'm still all for my idea. I actually got this idea at http://tabmok99.mk5.org/kombat_pavilion.html watch the video the begining with wait n bleed slipknot and watch scorpion beat the hell outta everybody. Scroll a little ways down to where you see the anime looking scorpion and sub zero and click it

Amen. As a musician I cannot stand that stuff, its like a slap in the face. Its what sells though.
Ill tell you what guys. If somebody can host it on the net then Ill make a lil' creepy tune with scorpion's lair in mind. I dont know how long it'll take but Im in the middle of learning some music plus I have other things to do so give me like a week or two.
You guys want something fast paced or slow and creepy sounding? Or both?
