MK7 and the PS3

Over the X-Mas break, I want to my grandparents house. My uncle lives there, and he's apretty serious gamer. HE says that the PS3 has gotten pushed back to 2007. That means that if Midway continues it's one-MK game-a-year campaign, then MK7 will be out on the PS2.
This is, of course, assuming that Midway would rather get the game out immeadiately rather than wait a while. And besides, it wouldn't be a good idea to bring a game out for the PS3 until after the Christmas season anyways.
If my uncle is right, then it also means that the next MK:SM-esqe game will be out on the PS3.

as much as i don't want to wait for the next game, i think it would be better for them not to come out with it for ps2 and wait longer and actually spend more time on it.

They can still take thier time and release MK7 on PS2 as well as the next shaolin monks style game. Most people have learned thier lesson on the DS & PSP launches. Im waiting for a price drop and quality games.

My personal view would be Midway would release Shaolin Monks II proberbly being the first goes from MK I to MK II the second one will lead from the ends of II and end at IV. With a game on sale for the PS2 it will keep them going for the PS3 with MK VII with the ammount of memory the PS3 discs can hold Midway would be able to put nearly all their classic warriors on one game. Hopefully they could include characters such as Khameleon, Repitle's supposed mate. Plus other characters that were just fiction to begin with such as the Oni known as Belokk but I think it would alter the story a bit more... Oh well we'll have to wait and see

it hasnt been pushed back to 2007, Sony strongly declined that rumour.
I would also like to see them spend more time on it.

No offence but I didn't understand a bit of that......It's probibly just me though. I want the next MK to be on PS2 because I won't get a PS3 straight away there going to be around £400-£500.
And anyway Midway would rather get their game out as soon as possible instead of keeping MK fans waiting until it comes out or if it does come out they then have to go buy a PS3.

No problem, I have a wierd way of explaining things that can be confuzzling at times.
I didn't know the 2007 thing was only a rumour. But I think MK7 should come out on PS2.

thank you. im just want people to stop saying "oh xbox sucks ,xbox 360 sucks,plastaion sucks, nintenso is to kiddy no mk games should be for them, and the reason nintendo has so many kid games because we have to have some game sytems for the younger crowd or there would just be m rated games and you know the "fcc" wouold have a field day shuting those games down and do anything possible to make sure we didnt play them.
