The name Alastor doesn't come from Devil May Cry. It orginated from... some religion. Not sure which, but in the Christian religion its a name of a devil.
It does come from DMC but doesnt originate from it. Its like you said came from Christianity.

How about Shadrach, Meshach, or Abednego?
(Pronounced "Shadrack" "Meeshack")
They're from somewhere in the bible but they sound cool. Maybe a triumvurate of Oni, or Sorcerers.
I think they should make a Shadow Priest a playable kombatant.
