Hey what about the beach ball mode in Tekken 3. that was the shiznat. 
The way I see it is the only way that raiden can come back into this one, since hes already been in every single 3D MK game is to go with him turning into Dark Raiden. that would be awesome cause then they could bring back Fujin. Then you would have two gods fighting each other 'bringing about armageddon'.

First of all i want to reply to Deathgrind - fair enough Tekken is ok, i have played Tekkn 1-4 and they were 'ok' i don't own a copy of Tekken and wouldn't because it is not in MKs league.
And there is a tiny dinosaur in Tekken, he was my fav character in Tekken3 his name was Gon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gon_%28manga%29
And i think Raiden returning as dark would be well cool :D:D
The beach ball mode in Tekken  can't say i remember that one but sounds bit naff haha.

Sorry, everyone who despises Tekken, but I think you guys are nuts. No offense to anyone but I think Tekken has a way better gameplay in the fighting part than Mortal Kombat. There are way more moves, everyone has 10-hit kombos, there are no limitations in juggle kombos, a lot less limitations in executing moves (you can do the next move immediately after the other where as in MK you can't), the sidestep is more effective, overall the way they fight looks better and more dramatic.
I do agree that there are some bizzare characters (Kuma, Panda, Roger Jr., Mokujin), and I think most of the characters' outfits are just too "normal".
There are storylines too. I don't really care too much about storylines in any game however.

yea he sucks as a fighter but that fart move makes me laugh 
oh yea good game when we were playing mk:d hack and slash you are beasty with scorpiopn and his combo's

Yeah he was my fav character so i used him all the time as i mentioned above, the rest of the characters i didn't like except for Jin and Kazayma.
Then you had little fruit cakes like a loser in a lion mask, couple of dizzy females who defiantly don't look like fighters *not being sexist i just think they look to weak to be taken serious in fighting games.
Compare Kitana to Michelle and Jade to Nina - come'on!
Then you got a robot - thats unfair - sure there are a few cyborgs in MK but there nothing like Jack in Tekken.
A Bruce Lee wannabe - oh sorry forgot about Liu Kang as well, thats a bit sterotype as well in every game there is a chinese type bloke who acts way like Bruce Lee or other martial artists like him.
Tekken - whatshisface
SF - Ryu, Ken
MK - Liu Kang
Paul - what is up with his blonde brick of a hair cut? :S
I can't even remember any more Tekken characters, they was all girls to me

I never knew about Gon in Tekken 3. I rarely play that so I haven't unlocked it.
As I mentioned earlier, it's the fighting in Tekken that I think is superior, not the character themselves, as I do agree with most of the opinions expressed about them. I think that the appearances of Nina and Christie are fighting game worthy and the rest of the females do look a little weak. Namco made Nina more built in Tekken 5.
Then again, in the real world, martial artists do come in all shapes and sizes.
You mean Marshall Law, pepsi440. 
To add to your list of Bruce Lee 'wannabes', Soul Calibur has a whiteboy version of it - Maxi!

Yeah tekken was alright. I think it peaked in the 3rd one and has been more or less the same thing ever since. I liked the Gon character, the robot Yoshimitsu, the brown haired guy that used a lot of kick moves(he wore a bandana), and that chinese girl, I think her name began with a 'X', some oriental name. Oh dont forget about the jamaican guy, eddy I think it was.

my favorite was always marshal law in tekken. and one more thing i like about tekken is how you can tackle the opponent and keep punching him while hes down.
