They disabled that feature early into the creation of that board for some reason. Only the mods here can make them.

They might also get Misused. That's why they got taken away in the first place.

I open them up every so often.. and usually end up having to close them within a couple of days.
For some reason, people see the "Post New Poll" link, and just lose their minds, or something.
"Who would win, Sub Zero of a cheeseburger?"
There's really only so much of that you can take.

Yeah, Especially the Repetitve ones. Scorpion vs Sub-Zero over and over. If they were in the MK VS DC boards. Thousands of polls would exist. Scorpion vs Superman 80 times. It's a good thing polls aren't widely used in my opinion.........

Polls should be allowed but any similar poll on the same page should be deleted or locked. Or if someone is abusing the polls then have their account banned from polls.

Or a function that a certain amount of Posts can post polls. But that would cause intense amounts of SPAM. Or it could go by Date Joined, for example people from 2005, 2006 that's been here can create polls but that would be alot of programming.

Unfortunately, that isn't possible with the current forum software. Posts can ONLY be turned on/off via forum. Not via usergroup, or join date, or post count. If that changes, though, you can bet that's one of the first things I'll be looking at!
