Classic Game Fourm

now ive been gone for a while so i dont know if this has been posted latley but heres the deal. When i think of Midway i think of all the arcade classics they made like NBA JAM, Spy Hunter, Defender, Primal Rage (ARCADE VERSION)and some of my favorite pin ball games like The Addams Family and Creature Of The Black Lagoon. Now i know there is a general discussion thing for this, but it kinda sucks going there every day to make a new topic named "hey remember Doom 64". Please post your thoughts

Doom 64? Didn't know Midway had a part to play in the making of that. Never played it as I never owned an N64 mind you. But no total loss as I have the real Doom games on PC/XBOX, the one's by just ID Software.
Back on topic. Might be a nice feature to have a board to discuss classic Midway games. What are the chances of getting one though?

exactly, it will probably never happen but ill keep my fingers crossed. Also stay away from Doom 64 it isnt that good but it was released by midway (see the picture below). Doom 3 is my favorite.

it could always be about games like The suffering and Area 51 that don't have a fourm. There is still tons of midway games that arent classic yet that can be talked about on G-D.

Yeah I've seen Doom64's game box before. I have heard bad things about it. Like I said, I don't own the N64, so I have no intention of going anywhere near the game.
I have the originals as well as Doom 3 and it's Expansion Pack, Ressurection of Evil, no Doom clone can match it's superiority, only Doom IV could do that, if ID Software make one that is, I hope they do, imagine that with the power of the 360! Holy Crap!

Midway does have some nice classic games, but I think the General Discussion will be enough for the amount of attention that they get.

Ah! Doom 2. That to was such a great game, Hell on Earth, they need to do a remake of that one I think.
Only played it on PC and XBOX , it was included in the Doom 3 Special Edition, again, a great title.

Doom 64 was completely original gameplay. However there were a few levels in there that were purely a remake of the ones from the MS DOS days.
And as far as Basketball goes, NBA Showtime was the best basketball game, and the Dreamcast version came the closest to the arcade game. The PS1 was too pixelated and the N64 had speech calls cut out to fit on a cartridge.
