Wouldn't it help the Midway boards to have a fan art section?

uhh then how would some one find their art.
and stickies would suck for comics.
if i had to aprove of this it would be making it a board then a sub board for sprite comics in that board.

It's because of the reason that every damn time someone puts one of these boards up everyone always disagrees with them and has some excuse saying "It could be a sticky here." or just plain "No. I don't want anything to change." so no new forums or boards get posted up. The place never seems to change that often. I think there should not only be a fan-art boards, but an icon board, and more! ISB and IGB are two good examples of highly outnumbering boards.

but isb and ibs boards are invite only and also neutral boards that take members away from other places then brain wash them to go back to take more?

No.
First, Midway would most likely never allow such a board, I don't see what the point of asking is in the first place is.
Secondly, there is no point in an entire board for it. The micro heroes are a perfect example of it. Do the Micro Hero creators need an entire board to themselves? No, that one topic seems to be doing them just fine. Others can do the same.

I think it's a great idea. But it shouldn't be just a fanart board. It should be a fan creation board where people can submit things like fanart, fanfiction, flashes, and character creations.

Splitzer is right. Thanks for using me as an example. We only need one topic and thats it. If we have more threads/ boards than people will start getting off topic and instaed of having a thread witha perpuse we have a spam board. My micros are doing fine, one topic thats reletivly easy to find (always at the top of the page). No sense in creating a board just for fan art.
Maybe do what others said. Make a stick topic and leave it at that. Or do what TMK, or cinder do. They make a topic and show theyre work and if people find interest you post your comments in it. Untill it runs its time and goes of the page into the graveyard(pages 2-infinit)
In conclusion I vote "NO"

What is the opinion of the people that can do something about it? Like the admin/mods, are they for or against a fan art board?

well you need to send them private message asking for one.
and i see that since the on;y thing that been art is the micro-hero thread and my forum comic series. other than that just random sprite comics and the fellows from mkrayden forums drop by to show off.
making a thread would just a way to hide all the art.
but making one can bring more people that type in midway art in google than those that types in Armageddon since most people stubble in here from google.
