Say you have two accounts on different computers and are banned for spamming on one. If you admit to being the spammer on the account that was banned, do you get banned? (I swear I don't spam, I was just wondering)

You don't get banned for having two accounts. Alcarde/soul eater had it in his signature and he never got in trouble.

Both accounts will be banned. If it's a first offense, the ban may not be permanent but only 1 account will be unbanned when your time is up. You are not allowed to have more than 1 account. If you do have more than one and you use the others to cause trouble that make your case that much harder when you get found out.

And what about from two different computers? How do you keep someone from coming on only because he/she is a sibling of an already registered user?

We can usually tell, although if one sibling causes problems, we'll ban both accounts just to make sure they don't evade with the other account.

I understand what you're saying. But if I had a little sister or brother I'd want to keep a backup account. (Incase s/he fools around on my profile and gets me banned!)

Back to one of the initial questions: Can the admins tell if someone has more than one account on different computers?
