Um I don't understand them. How do you make them? How do you get them? Because I was looking at latest posts and it said private boards.

What it means by "Private Boards" is that we can't get to them. It's where a thread goes once its deleted. I suppose only admins and possibly mods can get to them.

Yep, I like having paper trails for everything, so our moderators move threads to a private forum instead of outright deleting them whenever possible.
That lets us keep IP/etc info when someone does something bad, while moving the thread out of the public view.

Do mods still have the option of deleting them though? I mean could they do some stuff that you wouldn't like (F_C2 perhaps?) and then destroy there trail? I'm just wondering this out of curiosity of course.

I think mods are capable of deleting threads completely, without the boards having to go into some abyss where it can be accessed again...
If they were to get rid of eveidence, I'm sure they could just edit everyone's post...

They do have the option of deleting them, however we have an "admin action log" that documents everything done with the admin menu. So if a mod were to go around deleting stuff, it'd be pretty easy to tell, since there would be a delete listed, without a corresponding admin note or other documentation.

So how easy would it be for a mod to get in a flame war (aka Fused_Chameleon), then completely erase the evidence. If no mods are on at the time, which seems to be quite common considering you, MIA, and blitzuser and Echo are not on all day, how easy would it be for a mod to get away with this?
