I don't object to the idea of debating but flaming is too far. And if we even make the approach to flaming then users could touch others soft spots by saying painful comments that may be racist/sexist/prejudice.

That was really the motivation behind this idea.
I can't remember who it was, but some user freaked out when he learned Snake_Judge faked his death because his dad (or someone else close to him) had died. It would be unfair to punish him for it because its raw emotion, but if there were a flame thread, he at least had the ability to vent his anger.
