The board in itself is a good idea but I believe the midway forums have far too much forums as it is for the amount of users it accompany s and those type of community builder threads seem to be one of the things keeping the general board alive.
What I'm trying to get at is if you bring a bunch of people to one room they'll talk and socialize but if you spread them out across a mansion theres more solitude and there more spread out and farther apart. In fact I think we should be knocking a couple boards down.

I am tempted to create a Proboards message board for all users here. It would be called Midway and Friends! If they dont sue me for that, that is

While it's nice to have that warm & fuzzy "I feel loved" feeling on the internet I really don't think it's necessary.
All the communities I've been a part of I simply joined and jumped into the first topic that piqued my interest. As you become a regular contributer people will eventually remember who you are and seek out your opinion. That's how online communities have always worked in my eyes. There's no need for formal introductions on something as informal and generally fleeting as an online community.
That's just my personal opinion though. And in no way does it reflect the opinion of Midway or the forum staff.  You never know, they could add the section if it's felt it will benefit the boards. Either by encouraging new users to participate or prolonging the stay of current ones.

That's what I've been thinking. It would benefit the boards and would give it more activity even as it is now, with most of Midways latest games already released and the others not for a while...
