The question's been answered-I'm locking this thread. Let's keep it friendly, guys. Thanks.
Does anyone have a cure for video flickering when trying to use Rise and Fall with Windows Vista? The main screens function OK, but the minute you try to start a game, the screen flickers continuously.

Smash your computer because its vista only advice I have. But seriously I don't know, windows is freaking glitchy last night when I turned off my computer before shutting down it was installing updates without my consent then I put my computer off to the side then in the morning it was froze and STILL saying its insalling updates..wtf? so I took out the battery and unplugged it.

Please only leave constructive replies for someone here, someone asked for help, not what you did with your computer and what they should do to destroy it.

If you have ATI or Nvidia you will need to download and install the absolute latest Vista Driver.
Also since your game uses Starforce, you will want to run the Driver Protection Update from http://www.star-force.com

Well I am noting to him that windows is glitchy and that COULD be the case as well as bumping his thread so others may reply. Do you know the answer to this question? or are you going against what you JUST said in only leaving constructive criticism?

I know the answer. Its the default driver installed in Vista that is the problem.

Soooo...why didn't you just come out and say that? instead of criticizing the little information of the topic I knew?
