Is the time to edit a message (90 minutes) too long, too short, or just right? I think its too short. Maybe we should get rid of it or make it longer.

Maybe if it was just the the author of the topic that could change the first post for unlimited time. That would help if it was something where the author had a list and wanted it to be updated so people wouldn't have to search the thread for the latest update. For posts after that, though, it's best as it is.

I think the time is just about perfect. After you post your message, you'll want to quickly read through it to watch for any typos or something like that and you have a few minutes(90) to change that.
And as leafsfan2k6 said, it prevents abuse.

Most other places I go to have unlimited time, which is good if the post will be up and visible on the main page for awhile.
