I kind of think the boards (or at least some of the mods) should be a bit less strict about things. I've been banned many times for almost nothing its almost ridiculous last time I was banned for a slight bit of profanity which no one else seemed to even notice. Don't get me wrong other then that you guys are doing a great job but sheesh some of us are humans and I know a lot of people who try there best to behave even get banned its just kind of silly.

What do you think?

the trmk.org boards are way stricter and also more stupid than here. i got banned for life from there boards last august. i think that some mods and admins have ran out of patients with all the spam, flaming, and swearing from users. i have also noticed that ever since that fused_chameleon quit the mods and admins have been really strict. but hey i understand that they are trying to do their jobs. becareful that you don't get banned again shadow_fire for this topic.

If you were banned for profanity it's probably not your first infraction. It generally takes about 3 strikes within a period of time to warrant a ban. 1st time you get a PM informing you it's not appropriate in case you missed it somewhere in the board guidelines. 3rd strike and you're out for a day. I think it's pretty fair. Is it really so hard to omit 7 words or so from your vocabulary? There are numerous ways of expressing disdain or anger in the English language.

I'm really not that horrible for swearing though I see MANY people who use much more foul language and when I even do swear I'm never flaming or anything such as that. Maybe I'll be like romeo next time I feel like swearing *bites thumb*

O and MIA I'm actually not very dissapointed about not getting a prize or anything I actually didn't expect getting a prize anyway me and Aaron just like to poke fun at the topic.

If I get banned for free speech such as this I truly don't belong on these boards. Never been to the tmk boards though.

Just for the record everyone. When you signed up for these forums, you also electronically signed away accepting these terms of use:

Think of these forums... as if.. you were.. A visitor in someones house. You play by their rules. Would you say the F-Word continuously in their house? Does it make you feel any bigger and gain more respect using those words? I do not see the connection here. I agree with dv8, there are more cleaner ways to express yourselves and profanity is just degrading yourself lower and lower.

Do you see me telling people to "f off" or anything like that? and we are all relatively familiar with the terms we accepted. Things just seem a bit too strict in some cases. And I don't see the connection between swearing and feeling bigger do you think I think I'm bigger because of my mild profanity? I'm sure many members on the forum would agree that I don't swear too much and even if, this thread is suppose to be about the boards in general not you waving some legal terms at my teenaged profanity spewing mouth.

The rules are just what Midway wants them to be, and aren't going to be changing.
