the game thread IMO is done way too often,,next thing we know,,half the boards will have colors and VIP status,,this privelege will no longer be special for the winer,since he will share the same privelege as half the boards,,the game thread should be done once every three weeks or so,,that would be more appropriate IMO

VIP status only lasts for a week. Then it's removed, and the next winner gets it. And yes, that's to keep it from becoming "common".
