The age limit is because a legal contract is required. Minors cannot be held to the provisions in a contract, and so they can't be brought on.

They were his tournaments, and he has the right to do whatever he wants with them. It has nothing to do with being respectful.
I would not mind having Talksick as a moderator. But he would have to be on more often.

ok sheyla I been part of this board for about a year now and i think I would be a good mod but I am 16 but my birthday is november 25th which this year I will be 17 and next year i'll be 18 if the boards are still up do you think i would have a good chance at being a mod since my user status is pretty good (I think) and if your a mod do you geet to have your name changed so it has colors on it?

Work on a few things, and you might be chosen, liu. The first thing I look at is age - are you eligible to sign the contract? The second thing I look at is maturity on the forums - do you get into flame wars, or are you generally helpful and polite, and keep your cool even when you're annoyed? The third thing I look at is the ability to communicate well - can you write without looking uneducated? Do you use proper capitalization, spelling, and punctuation?
That last one is what disqualifies most of the applications I get, frankly. I need people that look professional in written communication, since everything a moderator does is in writing. if u tlak lik dis n its hard two unnerstand u n stuf, u aint gettin in noway nohow.

well you sort of got me there I still need to work on my typing because i talk sometimes like dis like if im lazy but i will get better at like talking more like things are suppose to be spelles. also if you become a mod do you ge your name changed so its in color? like this

I'll like to answer that question. Yes, and you don't need to ask an admin to change the user color name for you, I think there will be another link at the options page where you can change the colors to whatever you desire.

In fact, I put out an open invitation for moderator applications a few weeks ago, anticipating this very problem.
Problem was, none of the people that applied actually qualified for the job.  Now I'm looking at who I know from other moderating assignments that might be interested in helping out, at least until I can find people that will be suitable from here. I've also stepped up my own moderating activities, and am trying to catch what I can.
You guys can help out by PMing me or another moderator with links and
quotes of inappopriate stuff. We always appreciate the help!
