why cant the Admin just go into the persons account and change the
username? it would be better, so people wouldnt have to make more than one
account and leave the other banned, when if someone wants to take that but
its already banned or taken? and I really want mines changed badd.
Other sites with threads, Admins can just easily go into your account
and rename it.

It has to do with the way the forum handles the database. I have no idea of the logistics behind it, just that it can't be done with this software.

well is there a way you might can tell to change the site, so that they can make the Admins change our username without losing our posts?

That would involve editing the database manually which would be a pain in the butt. Not really worth the time to contact someone with access to it and have them take time out of their day to simply to preserve a post count. The people who maintain the backend are busy enough and I'm sure IGN receives multiple requests like this every day.
To bring things to more simple (yet more convoluted) terms, as I so love to do, think of it as asking your mom to make you escargot for dinner but without it tasting like snails. She probably doesn't know how to prepare it in the first place and it would involve some chef from France to fly in and make it. A lot of work simply so you can scoff at the idea of eating a snail and push it away. It'd be a lot easier for her to make you a snail shaped cookie. Actually this doesn't make much sense but you should get the general idea.

Chris, let me ask you how old are you? You need to realize that this isnt like an instant messaging platform or IRC chat medium that allows you to change your name on the go.
These forums were created a specific way for a purpose and cannot be changed as such.
Its not designed around someone wanting to change their name once or multiple times.
So either request a name change and lose your post count OR move on and have fun on these forums with your current name Rules are rules you know
