Question: Why can't we delete the read and sent private messages?
Suggestion: I think private messages should be treated like regular e-mail and we should be able to delete the ones that have been read and are now useless, and keep the ones that we feel contain vital information. For those who gets tons of messages, it would be much easier for them to find a certain one they're looking for.

It might be changed to be like this eventually. I know it's on my "wish list" of features, but I have no idea when it'll get done.
I've been waiting for it for around 2 years now, so I'm not really holding my breath, at this point.

click on the user you want to send a private message! then choose send PM!
then just write the message and sent it!to see if they're online go http://forums.midway.com/ and click "online users"!

9- The posts within it are the property of Midway Home Entertainment Inc. If we think that someone is making the forums a less pleasant place for our customers to discuss our products, we'll remove the messages or accounts as we see fit.
11- We reserve the right to remove any content from the Forum that is objectionable to us for any reason, and/or to terminate your account. This determination is in our sole discretion, and is final.
So yes, this includes Private Messages - and Midway has the ability to go in and look at them. Regular moderators do NOT have this ability - Only Administrators can. Yes, this means me.
I don't, though, unless I absolutely have to. For instance, if someone complains that a user is sending harrassing or threatening Private Messages, I can view all of the messages between the two users, to make sure it's true before I take action. I don't just take the person's word for it before banning someone, and I also DO look to see if the problem is with one person, or with both parties involved.
Believe me, I have much better things to do with my time than to go around looking at messages ..lol
