We will definitely be adding more forums in the future, as board traffic dictates. Right now we just don't have the user base to support a lot of forums.
More forums with few posters just means fewer posts per forums. Fewer posts in a forum means fewer people visit, because people want to go where they can get questions answered and talk to people. Fewer posters mean fewer posts, which leads to even fewer posters. It can be a vicious cycle - which is why we're moving a bit slowly.

While that makes sense, at the same time wouldn't it make sense that with such few boards people would eventually run out of relevant topics to discuss, thus resulting in all the X vs. Y polls and spam that seems to be plaguing the boards?

these problems can be fixed if you used this www.phpbb.com
but since you have so many posts on this site people would be very upset and it would be way to much to transfer
