I am on the mission where you have to set the 14 charges. I am on the last charge and the crane way up in the air has the shiny part to shoot and knock it down but I am unable to do so. Can anyone tell me what I am missing??

Aha! I just finished playing it. Now I know what you're talking about. That shining crane is actually NOT NECESSARY to finish the level. In fact, I have no idea why it's shining, it doesnt do anything. You have to go where you placed the 13th C4 and in that metal tower where all those dudes were shooting at you from.... there's an explosive barrel in there shoot it to open the way forward.

It's shining because you can slide down the attached cable to backtrack just in case you missed one of the earlier charges. The level ends when you set all the charges regardless of the order.
