Give it up, i just contacted midway support and they tottaly ignore that there is a problem for those who bought the game in scandinavien. This answer is what i got >>

This is the last time i buy a midway product. I'm 28 years old and they think i'm a child and can't find the right patch for my game. There is only 2 patches to choose, after i downloaded the right one for the game and that did not work i tryed the german patch but still the same. It's unacceptable, i even showed them the error picture >>> http://www.home.no/djbase123/the_error.jpg
Very sad that there is such a poor support for such a great game 
To Those Who Can't Install The 1.1 Patch: Please post in this thread so they actually can see that there is something wrong for some of us who bought the game in scandinavia.

i have the same problem and i have the english version
is it to do with where the game directory is as mine is in d drive not c .i have uninstalled reinstalled three times my pc meets the minimum spec by a mile and yes i have downloaded the correct patch what is going on

I contected them again after that answer, and now they are finally looking into the problem

yes, i also have this problem. it has been a night of increasing anger and frustration. first the game will not work beyond 'start new game', either hanging, crashing or somewhere between the two, ie hanging for about 10 minutes and then crashing. then pfing with the clean boot and what have you to no avail, after which i notice the discreetly placed link to the 1.1 patch, and i get the same error as the original poster (although the xp version), also at 49%. now i have had to register for a gdamn random forum which i hate doing. at least i think my store will give me credit.
