Why does the save function fail to work?

You may have to re-install it, or try an anti virus. I am not really a tech gal, but I can try to help.

I did reinstall-still save function doesn't work.
Windows XP Pro SP2
GeForce 8600GTS
2 megs ram

I have the same problem. I've contacted with Midway support and their answers were:
"The save files in Stranglehold are saved in your My
Documents folders. If you do not see a Stranglehold
folder under My Documents, please create one. In
the Stranglehold folder should be another folder
called Checkpoints. Please create this folder as
well. After the folders have been created, play the
game to see if the game is saving your checkpoints."
and
"Please uninstall the game and reinstall it to the default location. It's possible you are getting this problem as you
have installed the game to another drive other than the c: drive."
Obviously, these don't resolve my problem. I hope they keep this in mind for the next patch.

They gave me the same bs answer. The game would be worth playing--but if you can't save--it's a waste of time.
I'm tired of company's releasing games that don't work out of the box.
How long till the patch comes out?
What a rip-off!
