I've been waiting for this game on PS3 (would have bought the 360 version jsut cause it has rumble at least) because of all the talk about Hard Boiled in HD. From the look of the box in the store, it has a picture of the recent DVD release's box with the DVD logo clearly visible. Are we getting a 480p presentation of the movie? I'm sure the ps3 upscales it, but does it look any different than the ps3 upscaling the recent DVD which I already have? I didn't pick up my reservation, I'm waiting to find out because this game can be knocked off in a rental otherwise, but I'd pay $70 for Hard Boiled in HD.

It's native 1080p, not 480p upscaled. It will get downscaled to whatever your TV resolution is.
