Nvidia problem

Hey guys.
I just wanted to say that i had the black screen issue but i solved it out with the driver cleaner professional and the driver for my nvidia:163.76.
In case of someone doesn't know the thrill it's easy:
1. uninstall your actual nvidia driver;
2. reboot your machine and before the wiondows load screen press f8 to get in throw secure mode;
3. use drive cleaner pro to get rid of the "rests" of the nvidia old driver;
4. reboot again and then install the nvidia 163.76 beta driver.
Ok this one as worked out for me.
And about the 2Gb RAM thing... forget it's bullshit.
My specs:
Windows XP Professional SP2
Intel Core Duo 2.66Ghz
512Mb DDR RAM
80Gb Hard drive
GeForce 7600 GT 256Mb

GeForce 6600GT? isnt the minimum 7800? i have a xfx7800gt and a asus7300gt (2 pcs not sli) and it runs on 7300 but at the lowest settings with some slight hickups. the 7800 for the most part runs smoothly with very little choppiness. are you just expirementing with the lower requirements? are you really the midway ceo?
p.s. i dont trust or like bfg video cards, ive had nothing but problems with them from me and all my friends pc's i troubleshoot.

lol i guess you didn't read my post. it says my OS is Vista and the current beta driver for vista is 163.75.
163.76 is the current beta driver for windows XP, which you cannot install on a vista OS.
Anyway you are right in saying that i need 163.76 because last week i install Win XP on another drive (multi-boot). I installed the latest beta driver on the XP partition then try running Stranglehold, whallaaa... RUNS FLAWLESSLY!
PS: Stranglehold runs fine on 6600GT. And i am really MWCEO!
Det. Tequilla rules!
