Stranglehold for the PC does not support gamepads, joysticks, or controllers. Gameplay is through the keyboard and mouse only. Games for Windows® does not require gamepad controller support--as many have questioned recently. It does, however, require that if the PC game includes controller support—then Xbox 360™ controllers must be supported. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused.
The only adjustable audio options are the volume level of Effects, the volume level of Music and what Audio card to use (if you had multiple audio cards installed).
1360x768 should not be considered a supported resolution due to menu interface and HUD problems in this display mode. Additionally , DVI cables may be required to display certain resolutions depending on your hardware.

I find it interesting that Cinder (probably on orders/suggestion) went through and spammed/struck out each topic that was asking for tech support, and the result is that every single topic on the first page has been hit.
That could mean a few things on both ends, but I won't really get into them. So, is this forum now no longer all things stranglehold but "all things stranglehold except tech support?"

Just look. Almost every thread I see is about PC problems. This will cut down on them.

Hi,
like ppl with the demo, when the game should start it freezes my whole pc. I am way above the min requirements and all drivers are up 2 date. I think that midway should fix this problem first before selling the game.

I've posted several times that these forums are NOT for official tech support. They are for other users to chat and help each other.
Posting your issues here doesn't guarantee to get them to the developers for a patch, ONLY going through official tech support will do that.
So please..use the official tech support, as I and the other mods have been urging you to!

Why does everyone have problems with the game? Like is the game bugged/not working/poor quality?

No offense but this is a pretty screwball game forum. Ask a question and the only answer allowed is to call tech support. Seems someone has forgotten what a forum is for. Most of the time there are many more answers in a game forum than going to the game official tech support. And a hell of a lot quicker too. People don't have time to call tech support everytime they have a question that most likely someone who has the game can answer it.
I have a question (and I don't want to call tech support). Does FSAA work in the retail game? I know there is no game option for it but can it be forced in the Nvidia control panel?

Dear Sheyla,Cinder or anybody else who works on Midway
I post it before but my message moved and not answered..
So i send again..Please answer..
That is the best, suberb, marvellous action game that i have ever seen on PC.It has a REAL MOVIE style action in Stranglehold. Slow motions, musics, sound fx,editing and graphics are great. But there is some graphic problem.
When i start the game there is some colorful lines on right and bottom of my LCD screen on ATI HD 2900XT 512MB,but it is only when you are in game and option screen. Also light effects are overflow everywhere.I think some shader fx problem. Also we don't have any choices for advanced graphic details.
My drivers is latest.Catalys 7.9
My SYS :
Intel QuadCore Q6600 2.4Ghz
Asus Commando Mainboard
Kingston HyperX 4x1 4GB DUAL DDR2
ATI Radeon HD2900XT 512MB DDR3
Samsung 931c 19" LCD
Win XP Pro SP2 32bit latest

Just installed Stranglehold, pretty impressive i must say, smooth action and decent storyline so far. Tho there is a couple of problems ive run into so far.
- (Sound issue) Im able to play with no dramas for bout 10-15 min's before all sound completley cuts out. Upon exiting the game my pc resets. This has happend everytime i play so far.
- (Video) No real video issues except the fact that the max resolution im able to select (or see on the menu for that matter) is 800x600, which i think is because mayb my pc wont perform well above these resolutions, but not sure.
Other than that, the sound issue im having is kinda driving me up the walls. No sooner do i get into the zone, then im thrown back into reallity....cmon man, wtf!
Probably not as bad an issue as most peeps are havn, but an issue nun the less.
I know this game has just been released, but im hoping for a fix/patch in the near future...like tomorrow or sumthing yeh

Ok, i have mannaged to stop the black screen. (monitor not responding) Simply by changing my desktop res to 1024*768 and with the same res in game, But now im getting Stranglehold has encounted a problem and needs to close. But worst thing is, the game disables my nvidia drivers. when i went into display settings the res was on the lowest setting,, 600*somthing and the color bit was at 4bits. So im quite sure this is the problem with the game. Hope this can help some people
Im using the 163. nvidia drivers, new release.
My system specs are;
AMD 64 3500+
Asus k8v-x
Gainward 7800 gs 256mb agp gpu
2g ram
Windows XP pro SP2. Fully updated
These Specs run any other game fine on high settings. Medal of honor airborne, bioshock etc

IS THE MINIMUM SYSTEM REQ FOR STRANGLEHOLD IS CORRECT(2GIGS OF RAM/15GB SPACE)? IF THIS IS TRUE THEN THE GAME WILL NEVER BE AS EXCEPTIONAL AS MAX PAYNE 1&2,MAFIA,BIOSHOCK.WHAT IS THIS YOU HAVE PROGRAMMERS,WHY DONT MAKE A GAME WIDELY PLAYABLE ACCROSS ALL COMPUTERS?IS THIS SOME KIND OF FUNDED PROJECT BY HARDWARE COMPANIES.
