I loaded the game up and shot a few guys, then when I did a task manager when the game started acting funny the memory usage for the game (demo) was about 650Megs.
Call me a nut, but nothing out there uses that much memory just for loading, not even bioshock so I'm kind of wiery on this.
I'm going to pass on buying it until I can get a copy and try it to ensure it works first. I was very tempted today at EB Games though, but I withheld my urge and am waiting to try it first...

I also think that there is a huge memory leak,
the game freezes when it should start after the intro, i can switch to taskmanager and see that strangehold is using 450 MB, but taskmanager says total usage of more then 900 MB. if i kill strangehold memory usage drops down to 150 mb.

Please use the above links to report the problem to Tech Support as they may be aware of the issue you describe. If not, perhaps it can be fixed in the future with a software patch.
