	Hi everybody I´ve downloaded the demo and installed it. Then i Stard with the Loading screen yeah everything fine. I see the controll Buttons wohoo gonna play that freaking game.... NOT... I only get a Black screen. It´s still working my Monitor is getting back to the original screen and reentered the game only black screen. After 5 minutes my PC crash and restart. My System: AMD Athlon64 x2 4600+ Geforce 8800GTS 640MB 1Gig Ram Hope you can help me guys i wanna play that cool game. Sry for my bad english i am from Germany... Greetz Bersi

	I could try to help you on german if you have problems to understand : D Just try to update your drivers, install the current service pack, install the current DX9/10, install ms framework and check your PC temperature.

	the same here...it crashes after the controls screen Intel D 3.4 asus 7600 GT 1GB ram i think my problem must be the temperature , but when i see its around 30º (in cpu,gpu and motherboard)

	I have updatet all drivers. I think so ^^ It still dont work that really suxx wanna play that game... And my Temprature is fine...

	First time i started up the demo, I had this black screen problem. Windows gave an error, that looks like a memory problem. Second time i started it, I got to play for like 20 seconds before it crashed again. Gave a rendering error and the same memory error. Asus a8n Sli Deluxe AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 3800+ BFG tech Geforce 7800 gt oc 1gb pc3200 Kingston ram.

	Hey guys, Just here to say that I have Shader's 3.0 and I also get a black screen after the opening cinematic. Message pops up telling me about how dangerous the area is, but no graphics. I can escape to menus and quit the game, etc, but nothing ingame is rendered, despite my framerate reading out as something like 20-25 and varying as I move the mouse. So its rendered, just not being displayed. I know I have to have Shaders 3.0 since Bioshock ran on my computer the day it was released with no problems like this. Hopefully its just something to be patched.

	I see there are 2 Demos existing... 1 US and 1 UK are they diffrent ? I got the US from Fileplanet could that be my problem ?

	I am just wondering how people installed and ran this demo. Did you use the default path to install to? Did you reboot the machine after install was done, then launch the game? This is what I did. Or did you install and just start playing without rebooting? This usually causes problems doing it this way, as pre-release version are never quite up to snuff (or even retail versions for that matter). But, it will probably be up to midway to get this solved.

	Does anybody with 1GB ram played the demo? beacuse the people who has problems had only 1gb (like me) ... maybe this game really need 2 GB of ram.... btw, i didnt use the default installation path please answer if someone played this with 1gb of ram, so we can figure out the answer...

	Even i'm facing the same problem. Game screen just blinks and hangs after loading the game. Even ctrl-alt-del won't work. My PC specs Intel 2.8GHz 1GB ram XFX 7600GT 256mb 250GB HDD I have even closed all the background apps and updated my drivers to 163.44 but even then the game is not working!

	Same here, after it shows me the buttons, it goes black, and I have to restart or cntrl+alt+del. This is quite pathetic, and a disgrace, keeping us waiting for more then a month, with promises of extras and being compatible and great demo. And the end result is indeed, a godamn lame port, little care for the PC gamers, very little care, and I can assure u, that with this demo, your sales have just dropped drastically. My computer is past the min, and I do have 1G of RAM, if that is indeed the problem, then this is hilarious. Almost no one has 2G of RAM.

	same problem for me. it crashes right after the control screen with a rendering error. Sys: AMD Dual Core 3800+ X2 1 GB of RAM ATI RADEON X1950 PRO I don´t think this system is too bad to run this game....

	This really suxx I mean I should be able to play it cant be that the game dont work because of the 1gb Ram that i have. If thats really so than is this Demo a sh++y unballanced Demo and Midway shows so that they really are focusing on the consoles. I hate the consoles they are stealing the best games and we pc players get only the real crap.

	so i got it to work and played through it. i only had to update the directx 9.0c drivers and suddently it ran perfect.

	I thought this might have been an issue with drivers, but I'm seeing a lot of people with ATi video cards as well. Restarting after an installation shouldn't matter as long as nothing else was installed with the game. A restart is generally required when something is installed that alters system files, and the files need to be reloaded for the changes to take effect. And by the way, there are a lot of people with 2 gigs of ram, and it's probably a safe bet that by this time next year, it will be a requirement. System Specs: AMD Opteron 185 (dual core, OC'd to 2.8ghz running at 35c) 2GB PC3200 OCZ Platinum 2x BFG 8800GTX Windows XP SP2

	Roflmao now i have downloaded the UK Demo and startet it. Now i get an Error: Rendering thread exception General protection fault! Lmao wtf is that now i hope there is some help....
