PC Version an Console PORT?

Hi,
I am hoping someone from Midway could confirm or deny whether the PC version is a console port.
OR
Did you guys develop a completely seperate product for the PC utilising all the technologies PC have over consoles?
Ubisoft killed their R6 franchise doing this - just wondering if you guys are smart enough not to follow their footsteps.

The PC version is being reconfigured because they focused on making the game very playable for the PC gamer. Midway wanted to make it an experience separate from the consoles.

Also note the PC version of the game will be compatible with the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows.

How is it being reconfigured? sounds like a nice way to dodge the label port to me.

Blanket PC fanboy statements like that piss me off. Not everyone has a PC that is more advanced than the consoles out now. I know that mine, for instance, has about 0% chance of even running this game.

The game is being developed using Unreal Engine 3 and each version of the game whether on PC, Xbox 360 or PS3 will exploit the strengths of each platform.

I'm not worried about whether my PC can run it or not, since I have a 360, and will gladly be getting this game for that system.
