i was wondering is the collectors edition going to be released in the uk as i would be great to have hardboiled on bluray

The PS3 collector's edition will have Hard Boiled for Region 1 only. If your system does not support Region 1, you can wait for Hard Boiled to be released on its own in Blu Ray and HDDVD.

I have a few questions regarding the PS3 collector's edition and the XBOX 360 collector's edition.
PS3 - will the Hard-Boiled movie be playable on a standalone BLU RAY region 1 home player, or is it only playable on the SONY PS3?
According to EBgames/GAMESTOP - the XBOX 360's collector's edition will have:
The Xbox 360 Stranglehold Collector's Edition comes complete with a bonus disc that includes:
*Poetry in Slow Motion - Behind the scenes documentary on Midway bringing the style of John Woo to video games.
*Extended Cinematic Sequences - Extended scenes which didn't make it into the game.
*MTV Studio Visit - Follow MTV as they visit with the game team during crunch time.
*The Vision of Stranglehold - See the progression from concept art to final game.
*The Sound of Stranglehold - An insiders look at the sound design.
Will these bonus features also be included in the PS3 collector's edition.
I just want to clarify so that I don't end up buying 2 copies of the collector's edition, one for the PS3 and one for the XBOX 360...but I have gut-feeling...that I'm going to have to force to. *sigh* ;_;

I will most likely be realeased in the UK but if not right away most likely later on after the game makes more money

I think that you will be able to play Hard Boiled on a regular Blu Ray player, but let me double check on that...
As for the XBox 360 Collector's Edition, yes, all of the things listed will be exclusive to the XBox release.
Regarding Hard Boiled, you should know that it will come out on its own in Blu Ray and HDDVD. So if that's the only reason you'd buy the PS3 version, I would personally buy the XBox 360 version and just get the movie separately.

If the XBOX 360 features are exclusive to just the XBOX, then I agree with your recommendation.

not true. It is being published by Dragon Dyansty which is a Weinstein company, making it an HD-DVD exclusive should it be released in hi-def. And though Dragon Dyansty has expressed interest in doing Hi-def releases. Right now only the new DVD coming out next tuesday is on the list. No HD versions have been announced.

Yeahhhh...I've been doing a 'little/minor' research...and I haven't heard of any HI-Def verisons of this movie other than the PS3 game release.
Does anyone know if there will be a separate stand-alone BLU-Ray verison of this movie coming out?
Since the HD-DVD is still unconfirmed.

Okay, that's what I thought, too...because I've never heard of a standalone BLU-Ray Hard-boiled release.
So, if you want a HI-DEF verison of this movie...the only way is to get a copy of the PS3 collector's edition.

Okay, that's what I thought, too...because I've never heard of a standalone BLU-Ray Hard-boiled release.

Sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news, but it will not be playable on a standalone Blu Ray player - just PS3.
