8 minutes is okay guys. The idea is to make the video fast paced so that it does not feel like it is taking along time. I tried this same style in both of my MK combo videos. It all has to do with how you cut a video together. So in my opinion 8 minutes is close to around halfway done.

See I might layer in about 2 minutes of action for each fighter but after I am done cutting it to time with the music, it might equal to about 30 seconds. So that way a 1 hr video can be crammed into a 15 minute slot. It has worked for me in the past and has brought good responses from the fans. I am sure people will enjoy it.

In between working on this project I have taken breaks to work with manhunt. For any who are interested, I have a new speed run video for the stage "doing time". Later.

I am now over 10 minutes into the video. Following my original plan this puts me ready to start tweaking the Black Dragon mercenary section. So far I have completed putrid zombie, Brother of shadow, Clay soldier, acid snake, living Tree mouth, Living Tree Arm, and green skull.

The next sections are black and red mercs, elemental knight, and blood skeleton. Pretty close to finishing. My job changed hours so I will be working the graveyard shift from now on. It has it's pros and cons. One good thing is limited distraction for editing. I predict that the project will finish at 15 minutes or so in length.

I found out a fun fact a long the way. I was almost tempted to stop and make a quick video just for Living Tree mouth. Here is why: he can eat almost anything...even bosses! So far I have tested shadow priests, masked guards, tarkatas, oni, brother of shadow, and zombies (which I assumed would work anyway). For some reason the game goes black when it is time to face off against Goro though. The music still plays though.

I have eaten kitana to. It's weird but you can actually just keep going and jump through the portal that is normally accessibly during the cutscene when raiden has you chase after her. The next part deals with a triple threat against Jade, kitana, and Mileena. In most boss battles you cannot change the camera. Living Tree Mouth is pretty much only viewable in panoramic angle. You can imagine how painful this can be some of the time. That being the case I was unable to see most of what I was doing for the triple threat battle. I was able to eat all three and then the camera zoomed around the clouds and the special ability coin came into view. The one that appears after doing the fatality to Mileena and Jade. Too bad I couldn't move though.

I was able to eat the Oni warlord and the camera just fell over and pointed up. I could move around but its is very difficult when your a living Tree and movement/placement is tricky.

I was able to eat Shang Tsung at the end of the game. Camera fell over and went under the stage. Not a game freeze but the controller was useless at that point.

So out of the other bosses I have made some predictions:
1. Kitana - eat and progress
2. Oni Warlord - eat and locked camera angle. Might be possible to "blindly" progress if you can make all those jumps as the tree:(
3. Reptile - Not sure that Living Tree could even make it there. Circle attacks on the snake's pillars are required prior to the match. Tree can't do anything but roar.
4. Baraka - I think it would work but it would have a similar outcome to the glitch I found with Reptile. Using his force ball attack during the "shoot projectiles across the gap" stage during the fight. That led to a locked camera and nowhere to move. My other prediction is that it would be similar to the first battle with Kitana...as long as there is a portal handy
5. Ermac - R2 is necessary to activate the statue. Tree can't do that.
6. Sub-Zero - I am guessing it would crash. Sub-Zero activates that special boat ride thing during the cutscene. I doubt it would be ready any other way.
7. Scorpion - My guess is that it would prevent the gate from opening that lets you out of the nether realm after beating scorpion.
8. Kano - Probably will just have Jax run around ignorant and keep the battle field locked. I have not been able to exit this fight as a normal player until after kano is dead.

If I have missed any I apologize. This new thing with the living tree was pretty fun to find and I was tempted to test it fully. I am content with what I have learned so far. Later.

Glad you two like it. It would be nice if I could get more attention for this thread but I am unable to change the thread topic. If I could change it to
"MKSM Deleted Characters Video - Finished"

it might get more response. Also, I don't want to throw an ad here or there in other non MKSM related threads but I would like more people to get a chance to see it. Any ideas?

THAT WAS YOUR BEST VIDEO EVER! I just loved seeing those completely new creatures put in there that I've never seen before! And the Mileena, Jade, and Jax gameplay was perfect. I've really wanted to play as especially Jax in MK:SM for a while now.

But how come almost everyone else gets all shiny every now and then?

The models tend to look slightly red and wire frame-ish when the camera is positioned close. In medium and panoramic they are fine. For the action, I wanted the close shots even though I had to settle for red fighters and even a green brother of shadow happy

Yes. The VS characters can do there regular fatalities to the enemies in the game. They can also initiate the fatalities that are required to complete a boss battle.
