Hi,
I have started this project last night and I will try and keep some kind of post log for those who are interested. I have made many videos and most of which are Mortal Kombat related.
Normally I do these myself but I want to try a different approach for this project. Shotokan-Kintaro originally motivated me to start a project like this. The goal is to try and showcase all of the hacked characters for MKSM.
None of this is possible for the PS2 without action replay max. The hacked characters fall into about 6 categories:
1. The VS characters - like reptile and cage that are normally only accessible in a VS match.
2. The story character aids - like sonya, kabal, Chan Chan, ermac, smoke, noob, people who talk to the heroes of the quest but do not and can not fight
3. The unused bosses - These are the most impressive. Probably because they were the most hidden. These include the Tiger Boss, Wind boss, and Shiva.
4. The enemies - Just like you would expect. Anything from a putrid corpse, crossbow soldier, tree, or pterodactyl.
5. The boss/boss aid fighters - Jax, Jade, kitana (boss version), Goro, Stone Cage, Cut Goro, and Kintaro.
6. The unplayable coded - There are names like shao kahn and ??? that still don't work. Orochi boss freezes a lot to. Still can't find a working kano code.
That is the intro so far. I will be posting what characters I have pretty much completed. Feel free to post some ideas or things you would like to see in this video. Thanks.

I wish Ermac had moves. But ya, I wanna see Ermac and Smoke atleast. Be sure to have them cleared up too. It's always dark when you see them in a Youtube video. I've never heard of Null Shiva or Tigerboss and stuff!!!
Why doesn't Ermac have moves, BTW? I mean Goro wasn't supposed to be playable either but ended up with specials anyways.

Just check out his videos on youtube.I never knew him personally,but I have noticed his work in the past and present.
Is it true about what it says on your youtube account that no one will be able to upload video game movies because it would be considered against the rules?

I've been asking some of my friends on youtube that have loads of videos up if they have run into much copyright problems through youtube emails. They tell me that I don't have to worry about anything. They think that it just had some thing to do with take two production and the game called manhunt 2.
I don't have a ton of posts but I have been here since I finished college in '05 and picked up MKD for the first time. I originally was a member of MKO and did most of my posting there. Then I got kicked off even after I tried to explain the situation. This place is better anyway.
Here is the list of what I have done last night:
1. Clay soldier - many moves and very fun to play as
*After taking enough "power hit" damage he uses his shield in all of his attacks rather than his sword.
2. Oni Boss - 3 moves
3. Chan Chan (still got some testing though
4. smoke - no moves
5. Tentacle and ??? - always crash
6. Green Tarkata - two blade spark variations
7. White Tarkata - no moves
8. Tank Armour - Liu kang w/o moves
9. sonya - no moves
*Characters without moves will probably be shown in a cut scene.
There are other hacks like playing as the hanging body, burning monk, and tree that I will test out later. They probably won't have moves and may crash the game. Nonetheless it is a still fun exploring these hacks. Later.

My goal is to include everyone except the normal 4 story characters. I just finished clay soldier and elemental knight. Jade crashes just before the triple threat boss match against the 3 girls, and the elemental knight crashes just before fighting them in the wastelands.
I noticed that godshin put more codes for p2 rather than P1. That means that there might be a good working tarkata for p2 and also the black dragon/red dragon soldiers.
These hacks won't work for VS mode for two reasons.
1. The fighters have a starting rant that hacks don't have
2. The hacks were configured for those backgrounds
3. The game is loading potential fatalities for the match and it crashes when it discovers that the hacks don't have any.
I think that I will use the VS characters for the scenes that the other hacks can't participate in. For example during the mileena boss fight and ermac fight. I think that it crashes prior to the goro fight if you use a hack other than the VS characters: Cage, kitana, baraka, Reptile.

how do you?.....
you can play as all those characters? how? dus it work for xbox-xbox360? and do i need to fudge around with my console to be able to play as them?

Yep. For PS2 you need action replay max. Inf act that was the whole reason why I bought an AR Max in the first place 
I have heard that you can do similar things with the xbox trainer but I am not sure.

When I first got home from college I thought that MKO was the best and nothing was even close enough to be second. After a while I started to understand that it wasn't better than any other forum. It just seemed to have more users online.
I did some work with some guys doing combos for MKD and MKA and then I got banned. The main things I did for MK games were glitch videos and combos.
Here is another update on the video:
1. Reptile is done but I cannot get his SQR,TRI,CIRCLE combo to work. Maybe I misread it somewhere. I can get TRI,CIRCLE and SQR,SQR,SQR,CIRCLE but those are the only hidden ones I think.
2. I have noob in a few cut scenes since he has no moves.
*I found a glitch with reptile during the baraka boss fight. Don't use your special power ball move during the projectile phase. I hit him and it launched him forward and into the pit between us. The game kept going and I was forced to reset. LOL. I'm am sure this is not the last of strange things to find along the way.
I also added a short video to youtube to help visually explain the original fatality glitch for MKSM. Later.

What exactly does the clay soldier do if he has a lot of moves?
