there are few parts in the game that do not follow the mk2 storyline at all. the biggest are the kitana, mileena, and jade storylines. Jade was never killed in this game and i do not understand why they killed her. this should have played out like this. Jade admitting defeat with kitana's spell broken and mileena knocked out escapes back through the portal to the living forest in fear of kahns reaction to losing both kitana and mileena. the rest of the scene should play out as it did and so should the second with them battling. now the scene in the living forest should play out with a character switch were you could play as kitana during the fight with mileena. With you winning kitana preforms a fatality on mileena thus killing her. jade lurking in the trees hits kitana from behind and takes her to kahn to save her own skin. this explains why kitana is locked up before the fight with kano. the other thing i wish they would have fixed is a different story for sub-zero and scorpion. they should of had a different layout of events explaining why they are in the tournament. With scorpion killing the original sub-zero and learning of sub-zero somehow returning from the dead. Sub-zero should have started from the lin kuei academy where he was sent to assassinate shang tsung like the mk2 story.

How is that your logic? MK:D is officially part of the story line. MK:SM contradicts countless bios and endings from other actual parts of the MK world.

liu kang was never restored
subzero hotaru or kenshi all lived

ashrah never fell through the abyss

kira never killed kobra
havik never brought back kahn
goro never killed kitana
kahn never took back outworld
scorpion never killed onaga
onaga and reptile are both appearing in the same game?
li mei does not work for onaga and she is still good
the deadly alliance never defeated the earth realm warriors
dairu never killed hotaru
so basically as much taht was canon in mkd was the same ammount that was canon in mksm

The MK:D endings are NON-CANON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only so few of them are. Every game has canon and non-canon endings. The true ending for MK:D was that Shujinko's ending was almost true until Nightwolf's ending became true. And Raiden's blast did kill them. Shang Tsung's MK:A bio tells that and how he was revived. And Liu Kang's MK:D ending is non-canon either. But either way it is canon.

That makes no sense. Both have different facts that make the other one not true. If it is MK:SM then MK2 doesn't count as a real MK game and MK:SM's ending also means MK3 never happened either.
