If Shao Kahn is far enough away when he starts his hammer swing, start to run away from him normally and when he starts to get close, do a long jump. You can usually get by with doing just one long jump and still have enough left on your meter to shoot projectiles at him while he is catching his breath. Even if you have to do two long jumps, your meter should fill back up in time for you to shoot projectiles at him while he's catching his breath, just don't make the mistake of trying to pounce on him while he's down. If he shoots his green ball at me, I will dodge immediately while at a distance and throw a single projectile at him and repeat if necessary. I always kill Goro/Kintaro/Shao Kahn with nothing but projectiles. Hey, I'm not proud but it's the easiest way and it get's the job done!

Whats wrong with projectiles?
I tryed beating him with Liu Kang for half a day without them.
And yes just run around the outside of the arena. Keep as much distance between Kahn and you at any time once he gets his hammer, even when he is not swinging. Also, what may look like really close to you, is not so. You will not actually get hit unless you connect with the hammer. Time your long jumps.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to help Jax before you fight him.
Health Upgrade is always good

the fight with shao kahn is very hard, I hate it, I cant win with sub or scorp mainly because i fight defensive and with projectiles, i won with liu kang and kung lao easily just use kung laos air kick. and can you tell me how to get a picture with my name.
