Many of the people who played Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks agree with me. The game was a marvelous adventure game, taking locations, moves and fatalities from Mortal Kombat 2 and adding a hugely enjoyable fighting system. Midway not making a sequel would be the ultimate bonehead move.
But the question is. What do they do? You probably know my stance on the matter of a sequel (continuing it on the Wii), but what about settings? The fighting system? Characters? Here's a few of my ideas for whenever they decide to get started.

1. The setting: Many people worry that a sequel set in Mortal Kombat Trilogy would do away with the colorful and vibrant environments with a gritty, urban world. This is not the case! Remember how the invasion was a merger of Outworld and Earthrealm? Why not show that? For example, say one of the levels is...a park in the city where the invasion started. That park could be merged with the living forest. Imagine jumping from skyscraper to skyscraper, seeing parts of the Tower (MK2) fused with it.

2. Characters: I'm sure you were dissapointed with only being able to play as 4 characters while MK has a rather big cast. So why not have the entire cast of Mortal Kombat Trilogy playable? The story would still be set around Liu and Kung, and playing as these characters would simply replace Liu and Kung (Like SM, where being attacked by Oni as Sub-Zero would have Kung Lao say "Liu Kang! Behind you!"). Imagine playing as the co-op team of Kitana and Noob Saibot. Or Shao Kahn and Raiden.

3. Glitches: Not much to say on this but I had instances in SM where the sound would immediately cut off, where one character would get the fatality while the other could'nt, and puzzles and doors not working. Please fix all of this.

4. Music: For the love of God, do not go to that grainy, crappy rock/techno music you had in MK3-T. It was HORRIBLE!!

5. Atmosphere: MK has always been pretty dark. (Excluding crap like babalities, friendships and such) Have it that way! The entirety of Earth's souls being absorbed? Why not have their bodies walk around as enemies, have fires raging around the city. Show the chaos that's happening, unlike in MK3 where everthing was perfectly fixed.

6. Fatalaties: Please create new, original fatalities for this. Not to ask to much, but quite frankly. The MK3 fatalities were pretty lame.

7. Fighting System: A-OK. Not much to say on this matter.

8. Enemies: All of Kahn's soldiers and assorted monsters would be in. But let's kick it up a notch? Does anyone remember fighting Shokan other than Goro and Kintaro? How about shokan, tarkatan, minotaur and oni soldiers? His previous band of shadow priests and masked guards would of course return. Also, like I said earlier, let's have soulless, zombified humans running aroung as enemies. I mean, the bodies can't just be all "gone".

Here comes my version!

MORTAL KOMBAT SHAOLIN MONKS (2005)

The Extras: This was actually crap! Then im talking about the damn Concept Arts! There is no point and its boring to look at them! If an MKSM 2 should appear, quit "The Damn Concept Arts" and find something better! Its also injustice for us living in Europe (PAL) that can't play MK 2 when unlocked! As i said earlier, if your gonna make MKSM 2, take my advice! 3/10!

The Story: The Story in this game was very good and a famous classic mortal kombat story! There we see Liu Kang (The classic Character from MK 1) and Kung Lao! They are the heroes in this game and are good friends! Their enemy is The Classic Evil Emperor Of Outworld Shao Kahn! He (of course) is up to conquer the realms and thats what Liu Kang and Kung Lao must defeat! Kang and Lao's Shaolin Monk Master is The Thunder God Raiden! The Shaolin Monk members are Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sonya and Johnny Cage! Togheter their up to crushe Shao Kahn, The Wizard Shang Tsung and their evil band! If MKSM 2 appears, make the story as good as this one! 8/10!

The Clothes: The Clothes on the characters in this game is awesome and is defently the best (When talking about clothes)! They have the classic and coolest clothes! Liu Kang has the red and black paint and the red headband, Kung Lao has the saw hat and the blue paint, Raiden has the classic white and blue clothes! If MKSM 2 appears, keep the clothes, im begging! 10/10!

The Characters: This is a shame! Why are there only 8 Characters!? Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sub-Zero and Scorpion is the only playable characters in Single Player and Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Baraka, Reptile and Kitana is the only playable in the whole game! What a shame! If MKSM 2 appears, i demand more characters! 2/10!

The Violence: There is much Blood and Gore in this game and thats good! There is one thing they must make better and thats the blood quality! from 1993-2007, the blood looks the same fake! But i do not care that much! I do not actually care, but if MKSM 2 appears, at least try to make the blood more real! 7/10!

The Fighting System: The Fighting System in this game is awesome! Its easy to learn and play! Its not any hard either even if you choose Hard! If MKSM 2 appears, keep the fighting style! 10/10!

The Mistakes/Glitches: When i played this game i noticed that very many Mistakes/Glitches was found! Its not enough to make the game bad, but its horrible if the game freeze or goes amok when you haven't saved for a while! Also The Puzzles (When playing Co-Op) does not always work! When playing (Does not matter who you play with) and reaches Goro and killed him, an event with Shang Tsung will appear! When you press the "Start" button when he is in the middle of his transformation, you'll mostly not even become visible! We have named this glitch as "Noob Saibot" but its only a glitch so don't run rampage yet! If MKSM 2 appears, fix this at once! 6/10!

The Fatalitys: The Fatalitys in the game was good! Im not gonna complain on them! Of course they have much violence and gore on, but they are actually lame and fake! If MKSM 2 appears, try to make them a little better and maybe some more! 7/10!

OVERALL RATING: 8.5-Excellent!

It would be simple. It would run like the X-Men Legends games and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. You pick which a team of four, consisting of either Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana, Sub-Zero, Sonya, Jax, Nightwolf, Kabal, and Stryker, and go on missions concerning the UMK3 storyline.

Enemies will include Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, Motaro, Sindel, Rain, Reptile, Ermac, Mileena, Jade, Sheeva, Motaro, Kano, Sektor, and Cyrax. Characters like Baraka, Noob Saibot, Chameleon, Meat, Smoke and Reiko would be secret bosses like Ermac in Shaolin Monks

Raiden will be like Nick Fury in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, the team's leader but doesn't occumpany them on missions. Also like Fury, he will be unlocked after a certain point in gameplay. Scorpion and Khameleon would be NPCs that can fight alongside you during certain missions. Khameleon, however, would be a secret character as opposed to you eventually running into Scorpion.

Unlockable characters would include Sindel, Jade, Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Raiden, Khameleon, and Smoke. After reaching a 100% complete mode (which would mean completing the main game, collecting all Koins, unlocked the previously mentioned 7 characters, and completing all training missions, you unlock the other characters for gameplay either for the main game or a fighting-game type mode like the one featured in Shaolin Monks.

The costumes for the characters would be their current ones (except for Liu Kang, Smoke, Raiden, and Motaro for obvious reasons), and alternate costumes will be their other costumes (Classic Sub-Zero, Zombie Liu Kang, Human Smoke, Whatever-the-Hell-he-is-now Smoke, Dark Raiden, Old Shang Tsung, MK1 Noob Saibot, etc.) PS: Probably no Minotaur Motaro, but his alt. in MKA would still be on his Centaurian form.

The access points featured in the X-Men Legends games and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance would probably be something cooked up by Raiden or Nightwolf as they are the only two that would be capable of such. The base could be several things: Stryker's police station, Nightwolf's tribal grounds, a camp outside Shao Kahn's fortress, and maybe even something secret like the Extermination Squad's HQ or Baraka's Yurt.

Characters like Kitana, Kabal, Stryker, Nightwolf, Raiden, Scorpion, Mileena, Jade, and Kano would be able to pull out their weapons (Steel Fans, Hookswords, Nightstick, Tomahawks, Staff, Mugai Ryu, Sai, Bojutsu, and Butterfly Knives respectively) would be able to be pulled out for melee attacks.

Each character would have four special moves and one fatality (Except for Chameleon, Khameleon, and Meat, as they have never performed fatalities)

Of course, levels would include familiar locales from UMK3: The Soul Chamber, the Balcony, Shao Kahn's fortress, Kahn's Kave, the Pit III, the Belltower, etc.

The game would probably include a fully-playable version of MKT with it, or maybe even MK4/MKG seeing as how UMK3 is already with MKA.

I would even expect to see a game like this for MK4/MKG, yet not after that considering that so much from MKDA happened before the game actually started, MKD didn't really feature a core team of heroes, and MKA is really more of a real-time strategy game.

they should make a little storyline for liu kang and kung lao in mk8 so they can make a game out of it called mksm2!

I agree with the idea of doing another MK adventure game this time based on the events that occurred during MK3. Although I don't think it should be set just around Liu Kang and Kung Lao. If we want more characters to play with, we should have the game set around all those characters. Let's take what happened with Shaolin Monks: all the game was meant to be played as Liu Kang and Kung Lao but they give us the choice to unlock other characters and play with them. The problem is that when you play for example as Scorpion, the character don't fit in the plot because the levels, the bosses and all action itself were not meant for him. Only Johnny Cage could fit in that journey because he actually did that with Kung Lao and Liu Kang in MK2 but then again he's not a Shaolin Monk so they put him as a unlockable character.

With that in mind I think this new adventure game should have different levels for each character because each one of them took different paths during the MK3 events. For example...I don't think Liu Kang and Kung Lao took the same path and confronted the same enemies as Jax and Sonya. So we got two options here:

1- Every character or team has is own path which means diferent levels, enemies, bosses and allies, for each character or team, with the exception for the last level which should be in Shao Kahn's palace for all.

2- There's only one way to finish the game but each level must be played just by one certain character or team depending from the level itself. (example: In the cemitary level we must play as Kitana and the boss is Sindel. In the desert level we must play as Nightwolf and the boss is Jade)

Now, every character of MK3 and UMK3 should be in the game but we can only play with the good guys. They are:

Liu Kang
Kung Lao
Sonya
Jax
Kitana
Unmasked Sub-Zero
Nightwolf
Kabal
Stryker

If the game was longer, less glitchy, had more characters and didn't depend on Ko-Op to unlock most of the stuff, it definitely would of been one of the best Beat-em' ups ever. Hell, it's already the best 3D one.

here is the rating in my oppinion

Story:the story was great awsome but why couldn't every kombatant have his own story because liu&lao had same story there should be a story for liu only for lao only and for both in KO-OP only so try to make it just as I said:6/10

charectars:I think the 8 kombatants thing is kinda good but they are too low in numbers they should be about 15 kombatants maybe 10 for single Ko-OP mode so please give us more playable charectars:7/10

KO-OP:there should be a look-on to the ko-op ally were presing a button while looking on him would them both do a move during battle according to the distance between them could you add it please:7/10

secrets:there should be secrets that only sertain kombatants can find during their way in the story line so please make it like i said:7/10

concept arts:their should be and only be movies or fatalatys none of these drawing arts I can't belive it's taking a lot of the concept art:3/10

Fatalaty:I love the whole fatalaty thing their is just a minor thing that I want added were you can do the fatalaty from distance and also were you are able to do fatalaty with CO-OP on same charectar with half the cost from each one:9/10

MK2:I love the mk2 thing I hope you would do the same with mk3 keep it that way please:10/10

versus:I hope that versus mode would also have CPU it still great though:8/10

graphics:great graphics I realy hope that you would keep it that way:10/10

charectars2:you should make the important ones liu&lao realy tough unlockables but it's still great to have them any way:8/10

overall there should be more secrets and more
interesting and some would be done by sertain charectars acording to their story line for the fun of exploretion and more charectars:75/100(good but too easy)
