Future of shaolin monks

It was such an intense game i just paly it constantly to this very day. But im just wondering because of the way it ended do you think there is ever going to be a sequel, This time revolving around the time period of mk3? Or perhaps a long game that includes mk3 and mk4s storylines together like two seperate chapters?

Personally, I hope the series jumps to the Wii. Imagine pulling off specials using the remote and nunchaku *sighs*
I hope the game is set during Mortal Kombat Gold. Simply because UMK3 is urban. So it would'nt do the fantasy filled series much justice.

I hope SM dies. They can make a sequel but it should be like Shaolin Ninjas or something. I hate liu. Kung is okay but they have wwwwaaaayyyy too much spotlight.

I dont like the monks all that much but they are the main characters indeed.
I just hope that if it goes for a sequel you will be able to play as more characters instead of using code devices all the time. I wanted to play as Sonya (even though she didnt really do much in the MK2 stroyline, she looked cool.), Mileena (I love her, she is the shizzy), Reptile in story mode (he had such awesome moves in that game I grew to like him more then ever), whoever else is new in the game, should be playable.
Overall the story was messed up because several characters didnt die in MK2 who did in SM which was a bit blah but it was for boss purposes, which is understandable.

Considering every other MK-spinoff was a complete failure, I think they were just testing with MK:SM. The next installment will probably be much longer and have more playables

i think mksm was one of the greatest spin-offs ever! there was no flaws in the game! well nothing serious.
