Yes, Liu Kang was killed by them at the beginning of DA, but every hero was killed by them by the end; that's why at the beginning of Deception it says only Raiden is left to attack the Deadly Alliance, and in the character profiles and endings of Deception, you find out that all the heroes who were killed (Jax, Kung Lao, Sonya, Kitana, and Johnny Cage) were resurrected by Onaga and that's how they were under his control. It takes Liu Kang's spirit and Ermac's battle skills to free them from his influence.

Yes but that's ARCADE MODE'S ENDING,the real ending should be awaited as the screwed up series are still going,and by that I mean,the story doesn't follow along with itself,the storyline gets WAY different in MK:SM,which is stupid,so Midway actually needs a brain get the story back on track as the storylines all scrambeled as it is,like Armegeddon,nobody said anything about someone TRAINING for the armageddon,so Armageddon is just a coincidence,sop as of now,storyline sucks on MK don't get me wrong,it should juststay a fighting game with no story,or at least a story but just MATCHES at each phase.

Kung Lao was killed and enslaved by Onaga along with Kitana, Johnny Cage, Jax and Sonya. Then they were apparently freed by Ermac and the ghost of Liu Kang.

konquest is to short, it took me less then a day to beat the game and i unlocked all chars, all shujinkos fight moves and all alternate costumes
