The nexus is used to be used by the elder gods champion Travel from realm to realm and retrieve the kamidogu
And is also an unlockable arena wich contains a death trap

Where's the death trap?
Knocking an enemy out into the unknown when you unlock it for versus mode.
The nexus is also only a portal to the main realms. there are an infinite number of realms existing.
