Sub Zero question.

We all know that Sub Zero is not ninja.
He is Lin Kuei.
However if it was up to you would you have him start up a rival ninja clan for Scorpions clan? This way he wouldent just be a grand master of a clan he would be ninja too.
I know he has a more chinese look to him but it would just be cool to have Sub Zero set ninja missions for his clan. Maybe he wouldent start up a new clan but just change his clans ways to ninja.
When I was young and dident reffere to the story that much I always thought of Sub Zero as a ninja (hence the same costume as the other ninjas), but when I found out in the later games that he wasent actually ninja I was kind of dissapointed. Anyone else feel like this when they found out?
Tell me if you agree or dissagree. Share your thoughts.

To me, Sub Zero will always be referenced as a ninja. Even though he technically isn't.

I don't get it either. He seems like he'd be a ninja but according to MK:MSZ, he actually says...
"Lets get something straight. I am not a ninja. I am Lin Kuei. Scorpion was a ninja."
But that still doesn't make sense to me. What is it about Sub-Zero that doesn't make him a real ninja?

What I think is that Sub-Zero is going to show a samarai side, and maybe clear this up. Maybe he's not a ninja because he isn't from Japan or because the way he fights...its more about power and less speed/technique.

If hes not ninja because hes not from Japan then hes not Samurai as hes not from Japan.

The only reason Sub-Zero isn't called a Ninja is because he's half Chinese, and has nothing to do with Japan.

The irony of Sub Zero of course is that he is Chinese-American and although Midway says that he isn't a Ninja because of this and he's more likened to an assassin instead, Sub's martial arts style is definitively Japanese - ie. Shotokan Karate. It came from Japan. The only thing Sub Zero really has in common with the Chinese is that he's the grandmaster of a clan based on the one from Ancient China.
There's little defense from Midway why he's not a Ninja, and hence why hes always been called one. There's so many contradictions in Sub Zero's heritage that it wouldn't make sense not to call him one. But of course, it doesn't make sense to me anyway. Just my opinion...
