You're best off using Scorpion's long combos. Fight fire with fire, if you know what I mean.

If you use Baraka's special moves it makes it easier to defeat scorpion. I can't remember how long I was trying to defeat scorpion, all I know is that it took me awhile to beat him.

would i piss people off if i said this game is crap or at least programmed poorly? i love the concept of the game but still....
i mean example this scorpion battle
1. computer can instant block/attack irregardless if its low or high
2. instant dodge attack
3. repeatedly BREAK out of ALL moves not just strings (even special moves)
3. can hit me out of a string-combo or even dodge WHILST blocking multi hit eg. ermacs +1, axe swing move????
you can't win BUT SUDEENTLY the cpu stands there and lets you hit them to toy with you...THEN the high difficulty kicks in AGAIN ?!? pretty sick programming to play with someones mind. I don't wanna lower the difficulty cause thats just sad...although i may have to in the end
out of 3-4 hours of play i finally hit scorpion hard during this 'please hit me phases' and i almost won....but then the computer launched me in the air and hit me 3 times and i died?
300 percent difficulty? it can hit 2 twice and your dead.........how is THAT fair?
it can be in a slow recover move and change to weapons immediately and hit you......how??
computer can instant get up even after its on the ground? instant tech roll?? CAN HUMANS TECH ROLL? IF SO TELL ME.
cpu instant tech rolls or gets up after a hit (total insane hit recover speed)
even the old games i.e "the human 2D mk" was programmed poorly i remember as a kid a guy used chang tsung repeadedly chuck multi-fireballs at montaro and hit nothing......kept pumping coins in at the arcades
poor programming can only be won by countering its program flaws...since reply is getting long i'll give you qick example....mk triology ..if you jump attack backwards cpu will try to use a projectile....but with scorpion you can teleport kick'em in the back and combo them guaranteed 100percent

It was really hard. You can use your weapon for extra power but the problem is it lowers your defence. It depends on wether your skill revolves around attacking quickly or waiting for openings defencively.
I used the defensive option to defeat him.

sorry for double post but if anyone has any exploits of mk OVERALL please tell me it'd be fun as a topic.
exploits exist in alot of games, example in mk deception, if you manage to do ff+4 teleport kick for millena a grab is guaranteed (at least for cpu) cpu is too dumb to block the move even though its as easy to stop as her roll attack b,d +3.
btw another b*tch about mk old games....these programming problems were worse in the old days.
i remember i played mk2, without the invulnerable cheat on pc i'd be screw'd
cause if you jump attack you'd get kicked down......you increase jump kick earlier and earlier to stop the "kicked-backdown assault" to the point the cpu would uppercut you (meaning airassult is impossible)
worse if your in the corner cause its 100percent impossible to survive if you decide not to jump anymore your grabbed.....i.e impossible to win.
