After looking at this, I noticed Stryker to, but also, if you look at the pic submitted by The_4th_Snake, I was just wondering if anybody (If you look carefully), has noticed Johnny Cage on the far left side of the screen to Ermac's left and beside Noob Saibot.

Stryker is in Shujinko's MKD ending. But all the ending pictures cropped on the sides in MKD. You can see full versions only in MKU!

Prisoner isn't such a bad idea. It could be that his interaction with Shujinko in the Orderrealm is canon and he is arrested by Hotaru for being seen with a wanted man (Shujinko) and he's arrested.
The fallen warrior thing is unlikely. I doubt Raiden'd want his help again or he'd have gotten it in MK4.
Maybe his appearance won't even be mentioned at all in his bio and it'll just be a joke put in by Midway.
